In order to select the right hearing aid for you we take a number of factors into consideration. These factors include the type and severity of your hearing loss, your current health and hearing conditions and hearing preservation.

The most important factor in terms of determining the style of hearing aid for you is the level of your hearing loss. Generally speaking, a mild-to-moderate hearing loss means you will be able to wear smaller hearing aids. Smaller and more powerful aids are now available for people with more severe hearing loss.

Producing ear wax is a normal function of the ear’s natural cleaning process. However, having too much ear wax can be addressed by having a more wax-proof model that is easier to clean. Similarly, if you exercise regularly, do a lot of physical activity or live somewhere with high relative humidity, you would be best served with a more moisture-repellent style of hearing aid.

Most people have hearing loss in both ears. Moderns hearing aids support hearing from both sides by communicating wirelessly with each other and constantly comparing information. This enables them to give you a greater soundscape – complete with sounds that you may not have realised you were missing!

As an independent hearing clinic we can advice and offer you a wide range of top quality hearing devices from any of the world’s leading hearing aid manufacturers including Bernafon, Oticon, Phonak, ReSound, Signia/Siemens, Starkey, Unitron and Widex. The big difference is that our prices are highly competitive which means you get the best hearing solution and hearing device appropriate to your hearing loss, your budget and your lifestyle. Wherever possible we will match, or better a written quote.

Your new hearing aid is custom programmed according to your hearing assessment and fitted to ensure maximum benefit from the new device. We will also provide you with advice on caring for your device and recommend a follow-up regime tailored to your needs.
